The Outsiders

This is the story about Ponyboy Curtis and how he struggles with what is right and wrong in the society in which he believes that he is an outsider. According to Ponyboy, there are 2 kinds of people in the world, Socs and Greasers. Socs have a boatload of money, can get away with anything, and have an ego longer than a limousine. They are the elites of society. Greasers, on the other hand, are outsiders. They live on the edge and always have to be on the lookout. Ponyboy Curtis is a greaser, and proud of it--until one horrible night, he and his greaser friend Johnny kill a Soc, causing his Soc and Greaser would to shatter and make him realize that pain feels the same whether a Soc or Greaser.
